TACOMA MID-CENTURY MODERN

The remodel of our clients Mid-Century Modern childhood home in Tacoma was approached with care. The goal was to enhance the homes existing MCM feel while modernizing the spaces. The original roof was removed and a new shed roof was built allowing for a row of clerestory windows facing the incredible view and providing ample natural light. An addition at the front of the house was used to expand a small bedroom & add a walk-in-closet. Walls in the main living area were removed to create a modern family space where the kitchen & living areas are open to one another.
